IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: 

Dear Customer,

Please be informed that, as per the latest requirements of the Office of the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), Certifying Authorities in India will transition from FIPS 140-2 compliant crypto tokens to FIPS 140-3 compliant hardware tokens for the issuance of new Digital Signature Certificates (DSCs).

Important Deadline: 20 September 2026

FIPS 140-2 Level Tokens will be supported only up to 20 September 2026.

From 21 September 2026 onwards, new DSCs will be issued/downloaded only on FIPS 140-3 compliant tokens.

If You Already Have a FIPS 140-2 Token

If your existing DSC is stored on a FIPS 140-2 token, we strongly recommend that you use/renew your DSC before 20 September 2026.

After the deadline:

• New DSCs will not be issued on FIPS 140-2 tokens.
• Your existing FIPS 140-2 token may no longer be useful for obtaining a new DSC.
• New DSC issuance/download will require a FIPS 140-3 compliant token.

Don’t Wait Until the Last Date

To avoid any disruption in your digital signing activities, complete your DSC renewal/issuance before 20 September 2026 if you are currently using a FIPS 140-2 token.

Upgrade to a FIPS 140-3 compliant token and stay ready for the new DSC requirements.
